Boot Swap App Coming Soon
An app that has been worked on for a little bit i haven't talked much about.. well its going to be released soon so i thought id put a few pics up. Not too many but some key stuff. There are also a few other apps i have ben working on that are all coming to completion.
This app basically connects to win pwn repo, parses xml with libxml2 and displays all the boot images you can choose. you also have a similar view of your local folder with local pngs for boot images. you can dl the images from the repo and use them or use your own etc. This app will allow you to change the boot image/restore image without having to reinstall ipsw files. In case you didnt know, the boot image and restore are... they are the silver apple logo when your phone boots up, and the connect to itunes screen when your phone is in recovery mode.
P.S. This source code will be released when the app is publicly released. There will be a lot to help other people learn how to do cool ui stuff etc.

Dude, you rock my sox!@!@ but why not with 1.1.4, I pwned my 1.1.4 and it has diff. boot images, like the pineapple, and it still says <1.1.4> in the setting->general->about. Also the recovery image also works on my 1.1.4, Keep rockin, your FAN StarFreak010.

that app is for 1.1.4 and was made to backup your stuff to a payload that ilibertyX can use as a payload to make a custom ipsw file, so when you reinstall your custom pwned firmware it would have all your old stuff already.. app is almost done just waiting for a few specifics and ill finish it and release it with his app. its not for 2.0 or appstore.
Dump was suppose to be a quick app to dump frames to your computer via ssh, so you could do screencasting from your phone, but decided toward the end of the app to actually make it connect to a mac application that could handle recording the screencast, so basically the mac app would launch and your launch the iphone app, theyd connect to each other, and the mac app would basically show you an iphone (like simulator) and it would mirror your iphones display with a record option.
Boot Swap is almost done i just been adding some cool animation effects to it, which has been hard because layerkit sucks. sdk has core animation which is much more developed and the 2.0 version (for firmware 2.0+) of bootswap will be way cooler than the 114 version because of limitations. but im trying to make it as cool as i can before i release it.

Hey, this Boot SWAP sounds great. Would it also change the base band, the modem firmware etc? ie. Would I be able to take my jailbroken/unlocked iPhone (currently at 1.1.4) back to 1.0.2 as it was originally purchased please?

Why would you want to go
Why would you want to go back to 1.0.2? If it's to bring it to a store if something happens, there's nothing wrong with restoring/reseting to 1.1.4 then bringing it in.
Either way if you really wanted you roll back to 1.0.2, you could, you'd just need to select the 1.0.2 firmware file when you option click restore in itunes.
thats not really the purpose
thats not really the purpose of this app. it has 1 job, to be able to swap boot logos without having to use a computer and winpwn or other app to do it..
the fact it connects to repos (winpwn) is just so you have a few images to choose from if you havent uploaded your own yet.
