just a fyi.. i am not working on uShow product any longer.. im working on a different iphone app that is set to release on appstore, its also a video recorder, sharing application, but much better app, and more feature rich for users.
just wanted everyone to know, which is why i removed the links to ushow.
the new name will come out when the site opens. no beta bs.. no stringing people along. site opens when the app is released. everything will be good.
When I signed up at uShow, I
When I signed up at uShow, I had to give my serialnumber. Do you know what happens with that?!
well, they took my files
well, they took my files without permission and backed them up, so they prob have you in a database. email them and tell them to remove your info if you want.
As far as my database files. i deleted all that stuff, but the serial numbers cant really be used for anything anyways so i wouldnt be too concerned.
Hi DB, I had signed up
Hi DB,
I had signed up earlier....the serial number is really not useful for anything right? Nobody can 'hijack' my phone because they have the serial number...right?
Also, I had donated earlier to your efforts of developing the Video App....I hope you are on your way to releasing it soon..all the best mate
Sreenath
Nope the serial number was
Nope the serial number was just a way to make a list of who the app would run for. but since that was pre appstore it doesnt matter now.
and i figure i miswell tidy it up and submit it, the worst they can do is reject it. at least i tired
inspectorgadget is
inspectorgadget is right.
You dont give a fuck. but thats ok, what comes around goes around, it's plain to see that no one gives a fuck about you or any of your vaporware.
I suppose I'll hang around to see what stupid comment you reply with, but hey, your iPhone dev career is no more dude.
FAIL
ok buddy!
ok buddy!
Hey DB. so approximately
Hey DB. so approximately when are you going to release this app? like a week, month.............
I 4 1 cant wait and I'm
I 4 1 cant wait and I'm highly anticipating this app.
When are you planning to
When are you planning to release this video app to the iTunes App Store? Thanks!
By the way, I dont mind
By the way, I dont mind paying for a video app! I expect good video apps to be in the range of $50. I will pay that! iCall comes out in August and it will be $49.99 from what I have read and I will pay for it also! Just two things I want with my new 3G. Thanks for your responses!
i dont really want to sell
i dont really want to sell it, ive been sayng since day one i wanted it to be free, and everyone have access to it.
btw what is icall.
iCall is a VoIP app. Check
iCall is a VoIP app. Check out www.iCall.com for info. It will apparently sell for $49.99 but that is rumored. Comes out in August sometime. So when do you plan to release your video recorder software for the 3G to the App store?
Thanks!
and, can you be sure that
and, can you be sure that Apple will approve and allow a Video Recording app
DBass, can you comment on
DBass, can you comment on any personal knowledge you may have regarding Apple policy and the publishing of Vid Rec software on the App Store?
If they deny it, its
If they deny it, its personal and has nothing to do with following sdk guidelines/apis.
how long roughly till you
how long roughly till you plan to release your app? To be honest though, I am a little confused. I thought there would be a few apps on launch for video recording, but not 1. Must be a lot harder than we think.
Drunknbass without any doubt
Drunknbass without any doubt it would be ridiculous to charge your customers for your "soon-to-be-released-app" when and if it will be released in the AppStore. You have kept us waiting since 2007 for this app and if you had any sense you would find the time to upload your video app to Cydia so all us jailbroken iPhone 3G and jailbroken iPhone 2.0 users would get what we have been waiting too long for. If you didn't know the new 2.0 has been jailbroken. Please see this link

i never said id charge for
i never said id charge for it. just because its on the app store doesnt mean itll cost $.
what's up?ayye I was
what's up?ayye I was wondering if u could send me a private message so people won't get so butt hurt like they do but could u tell me the date(an estimate) and how much the iPhone recording application is going to be in the appstore please?thanks :)
Any news Drunk? well, on
Any news Drunk? well, on anything, like bootswap, or that screen recording app, or video of course.
Also, are you linked with LocoGPS? I noticed you answered something on a thread where they are mentioned and remember that I first read about them from a really early post on this site. Is this ever going to be realized or just some scheme to get donations and investors?
Also (also), please answer why you wont release Betas of anything?
yes, all a big scheme to
yes, all a big scheme to get rich off of.. you figured it out!
i did stuff with loco gps a while ago.. nothing recently.
as of right now everything im working is for appstore and unless you have some way to install applications and crack code signing you wont be beta'ing anything.
i have a select few individuals that are added to my developer account and can run my adhoc apps which will evetually be how i beta test stuff.. but that list is not open to public and is @ 20 people i know personally.
Good to know then at least
Good to know then at least someone is Beta'ing, would have been good to know a long time ago. This has been a very closed book since day one.
My point related to donations were that you have had a donate button for a long time now, teased people with what you were doing, probably received a nice response WRT donations, however people were upset that they saw nothing for what they donated and saw D&B as a black hole.
You have plenty of great ideas, but understand that to everyone that reads your site, that's all they are, ideas. I'm probably the last of the faithful hanging on to some hope of getting something.
Had you been beta'ing with the public, and keeping everyone interested, the donate button would have been red hot.
Throw us a bone.
i thought vid recording apps
i thought vid recording apps were not allowed by apple?
good luck with all of this, but DreamCatchers iPhone Video Recorder does EXACTLY what it's meant to do, and very nicely. you would have to come really good to take users away from that.
and if vid recording software was allowed on the appstore, you'll have a hard time winning over customers and their fan base..
you need to really re-think your marketing strategy, or get someone to do it for you, cause witty one liners can make or break your reputation. so wit wisely.
consumers have the right to have a choice, so hopefully you actually come out with something, because in the last 7 months or so, all the people that signed up (myself included) are very disappointed that you have never even shown recent proof of concept or demos on your own iPhone or anything.
best of luck and look forward to seeing anything
that app is also not
that app is also not free.
and we already know the consumer jumps off one bandwagon onto another just as fast.. they dont care..
it doesnt take much to make someone switch products, one added feature and people would use this over that.
users like me have no
users like me have no problem paying for apps that work.
personally, if it aint broke i don't try to fix it, dream catchers app isn't on the appstore, nor any other vid or sound recording app, nor any other app that interats with any native app on the iphone/touch
we'll see where this goes, but if when we all upgrade to 2,0 you have an app avail in the appstore or even installer, we will see.
thanks.
Drunk'n'bass, It's great
Drunk'n'bass,
It's great news you're still working on a video recording application, and even greater news you're looking to release it on AppStore, being as now iPhone firmware 2.0 seems to be the "in" version.
The problem is, you're raising people's hopes again advertising this, and also you've opened up your comments feature again. There were many disappointed would-be BETA testers out there and they're bound to see this as an opportunity to let their feelings be known to you. I've seen from some of your posts on other sites that you "hold no punches" when you post some of your comments about some of these people (and other Developers too), but let's not make this site a constant slagging match like it was before.
Will you be charging for this new App, or will it be free as you advised before? If people are to pay for your application, they would expect a high level of support from you, in regards to bug fixes etc. Your recent communications (perhaps marred by frustration if anything else) even before you've released anything, has come across as rather rude and insulting, and this can ruin your reputation, if it hasn't already.
So stay low, keep a calm head, and your head down, and please update this blog with any positive progress you have made.
I for one, will look forward to your finished release when it appears on AppStore.
woo drunk I still support
woo drunk I still support you. I just hope it comes out before july 19, thats when I will be leaving to Mexico for 3 weeks. If not, then thats fine, I am sure i will find free wifi, and download it from the appstore there!
Although i am glad this app
Although i am glad this app is finally coming out, saying polarbear farm stole your idea is kind of pointless seeing as you never produced a final product. Most people would have been happy testing a beta, but you only released a app that only recorded 5 seconds and then played it back without saving. Although he split from your project, it may have been that he saw you had deadline issues and wanted to release a product.
The app he released actually did more than yours did, even unpaid.
/rant
what his app did was @ 20
what his app did was @ 20 min more work than mine did when it initially came out..
sorry i dont want to release halfass shit just to say i came out with an app.
if you know your app needs major work, you have no business releasing it.
not to start a big argument,
not to start a big argument, but an alpha/beta release helps you iron out the bugs and make a better product. The word Beta also is a "get out of jail free card" for developers, people know that its not the release, and are glad to help test it, it puts you as a developer in a better position. I say release a Beta.
